The invention of lying

I am a big fan of Ricky Gervais, I loved him in Ghost Town and The Office. So I excitedly scurried off to the cinema last night to see The Invention of Lying. The main idea of the movie is that the characters live in a world where no one lies, everybody is honest until Mark (Gervais) a self pro claimed "loser" figures out that he can lie to get the things he wants in life.
Unfortunately it was not as hilarious as I had expected but I think it was a really good concept (imagine the world if no one lied, the more I think about it the more delluded i realise the concept is) and was thought provoking. It also had interesting undertoned themes such as religion, money and self image.

I dont usually like Jennifer Garner very much, but I loved her in this she played her character really well and looks absolutely stunning in all the scenes. A good movie if you just want to chill out, have a laugh and not have to think too much. Have you seen it, what did you think? Next I want to see James Camerons' Avitar, something I never thought I would be interested in but it actually looks pretty good.

  3. I do like Jennifer Garner because of Alias. It's still one of my fave tv shows. Ricky Gervais was a guest on Alias for an episode (that's just some random trivia for you).

I want to see Avatar too! But then I'm a fan of those type of movies :)
