Weighing in Wednesday

So this week when I weighed myself I had a major setback! Last week when I weighed myself I was at my parents house so I used their scales which they had before I was even born (22years ago). They mustn't be zeroed properly anymore so when I weighed myself at home on my state of the art digital scales I found out that I actually weigh 3.5kg (7.7lbs) more than I thought I did :-( I was a but upset because it means my first goal of 7kgs which seemed attainable is now 10.5kgs. Plus I dont know if I lost any weight last week because I didnt have my correct weight to start with *sigh*. One thing though it has definately got me even more motivated than I was before which is a good thing.

I havent figured out a set routine for exercisisng yet. At the moment I am going back and forth between long walks in the morning or going to the gym in the afternoons. Next week classes start at my gym again and I want to try and do a Yoga, weights and RPM class once a week. I always work harder in classes because there is someone there pushing me and I cant slack off or go home.

In general I am just trying to make healthier choices and supplement fresh produce for processed foods. I have to admit as cliche as it sounds I am already feeling more energised by upping the amount of vitamins and all that other good stuff that I consume. My other thing is though I dont want to deprive myself completely, where is the fun in not being able to enjoy the delicious food in life, I am just trying to not indulge as often as I use to.

My Basic daily food plan at the moment:
Breakfast: Two pieces of toast (wholegrain, no butter) with sliced tomatos and Italian herbs on top or a piece of toast and an egg.
Snack: ususally a piece of fruit my favourites at the moment are nectrines, plums and cherries
Lunch: Salad Sandwhich - wholegrain bread, no butter, ham, cucumber, carrott, tomato, spanish onion, unfortunately no cheese
Snack: ususally a museli bar and some nuts to get me through the afternoon cravings
Dinner: Veggies (at the moment corn, carrots, brocoli and zuccinni) plus wither fish, steak or chicken breast.

If you have any suggestions for great healthy dinner receipes please email me or if their on your blog let me know. I am especially interested in Vegetarian options.

I have a confession too, I ate this:

A delicious Banana and Praline Crepe from Max Brenner. I couldnt resist and I enjoyed every mouthful.

Oh and interesting fact, did you know on average each person eats 2kgs of food a day! That seems like an awful lot to me but apparently thats the way of the world.

Anyway the main thing is I definately feel heathier and better about myself.

  1. Awh, I went to a Max Brenner's in QLD and it was aaaaaamazing, I couldn't resist. 2kg of food a day sounds like so much! I can hardly believe that (I'm imagining it in kilogram bags of flour, ha). I weigh almost exactly the same as you. I feel often feel uncomfortable about my weight - I eat well but I can rarely gather the motivation to exercise, although since getting together with my boyfriend almost a year ago I have never felt so good about my weight and when he says he loves the way I look I don't tell myself he's just saying it. I hope you are able to feel good about yourself no matter your weight.

  2. Hey Bianca, thanks for your sweet comments. Max Brenner is amazing too good to miss. I think my main goal is just to be fit and heathy, I was getting into bad habits so i think once my body is feeling heathy again I hopefully wont worry so much about my weight!

  3. that crepe looks AMAZING!! I love making them!! ;)

  4. Your meal plan sounds super healthy! I wish you the best of luck!!! (Sending blogger vibes your way!)

  5. Ugh, I hate that! We had a busted weight scale in our downstairs bathroom last year and that's why we bought a new, electronic one. :)

I'm still finding my routine too, it seems hard to settle with something daily, though, yknow?

But we can do it! :D ♥

  6. Woman - I wish I had half the motivation that you do. I am in desperate need to lose a little LBS' but I just don't have the motivation. It's the cold weather and snow's fault :)

Good luck this next week. I'll be cheering you along from all the way over here in Michigan!

  7. I think the key to eating healthy food, is to make sure you are enjoying it! Skip the steamed stuff, if it's not what makes you happy. That way you'll be less likely to eat more or binge after meals to make up for it. I try to add as many flavours and spices to my meals as possible. Also looking up recipes on Taste, is always fun :)

Thanks for visiting my blog :)

  8. hey girl,
i did make my header, using (i use bighugelabs for my flickr mosaics as well... there is a lot you can do on there but i am addicted to the mosaic tool!)
i'm actually not totally in love with my header and layout, but i'm not exactly an html wizard so i'm not sure i'll be able to put into action what i see in my head :)

by the way... it only takes 3 weeks to form a habit. so if you can commit to a fairly rigid diet plan for 3 weeks, there is a good chance you won't want to undo all your hard work when the hard part is over... just a little tip :)

  9. I love crepes, danishes, pastries, all with coffee! Aahh, and I have to watch. I am always searching for the bizarro world where all my favorite foods would make me thing! : )

  10. Hi beautiful girl, it sounds like you are on your way to being super healthy, fit + happy - just take each day as it comes + remember to enjoy yourself.
I'm vegetarian + if you ever want any meal ideas let me know! I love being creative, especially love salad wraps, pizza on lebanese wholemeal bread + mexican type meals. And don't forget the mexi spices + coriander!!
Here is a little quote that I think might help, I really love it:
"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant." - Robert Louis Stevenson

Also I really love this post about 55 things to be happy about - it's really uplifting + makes you think..

Happy Friday & have a magical weekend!!

  11. Crepes!! I changed the rules so please join the swap! Mucho loveo!!!

  12. Congrats on keeping to a good eating schedule. And I know that it will be beneficial in the long run.

The Crepe looks soo amazing! I would definitely scoff that down. I haven't even been to Max Brenner.

Keep on doing what you're doing because you're doing great! Sending heaps of love and encouragement! xx

  13. good luck to you, dear...losing weight is a tough thing...I have tried, but my stomach demands more chocolate...and who am I to argue? hahahaha
