A walk around the lake

Whilst working fulltime for the last two weeks (still not agreeing with me) I have been walking around Lake Burley Griffen in my lunch breaks. I love going for walks around there because it reminds me how beautiful Canberra is. Canberra get shunned by alot by other cities as being "boring" but I just dont think those people are looking property. If your ever going to visit I pledge to be your personal tour guide. I think you will find my rates are quite affordable.
Here are some snaps from my walk today.

  2. Gorgeous pictures--I can't imagine anyone ever saying a place like that is "boring!" Of course, everyone here romanticizes Australia because it's on the other side of the world. Those colors are amazing! I'd love to visit someday . . . lately I've been having quite the travel bug!

  5. I must admit, I had always written Canberra off as boring until I started blogging and getting into craft. You guys have a lot of funky things going on over there and if the people are even half as nice as you are, it's gotta be a great place! Will def take you up on that offer when I eventually get over there :)

  6. lol I went to Canberra when I was a lot younger and I remember liking that miniture village. I can't remember what's it called.

I think our cities are always so much prettier than people think and I know that I would like Canberra if I went down again.

I love your pictures. Really lovely. x

  7. I am experiencing TOTAL wanderlust at the moment thanks to these beautiful photos!!! How wonderful to have all that beauty around you, it would be so nice to break up the work day that way on your lunch break. One of these days I hope to take you up on that offer of being my personal tour guide ;) I received the BEAUTIFUL postcard you sent me - when I saw the Union Jack it instantly made me incredibly happy!!! :) Thank you for thinking of me! You made my day love :) Sending you hugs from Texas! xo

  10. Your pictures are lovely. Even in places deemed as the most boring, you can find beauty and splendour if you look hard enough. I guess a lot of people are out for a quick fix these days and miss out on the wonder of adventure and discovery.

Plus there is something so calming about water... I'm feeling the need to go to the lake nearby now, but it's about 34 degrees outside, so maybe another day ;)

  16. This photographs you took on your walk are seriously AMAZING! I love them! What camera do you use? Canberra looks so beautiful! I agree with you on how people judge what other cities are to others. For instance Perth isn't the best but it sure has many beautiful places, boutiques & all to see. Sometimes you just gotta look more carefully to find the hidden treasures! I know if I ever visit Canberra I'd love for you to show me to all your secret getaways! xx
