What I learnt this week...

- That a good nurse I do not make. Brendan had food poisoning Friday night through to Saturday and I tried really hard to look after him, but then it kind of got over it and I decided to hide in the lounge room with Law and Order SVU. I know I am a bad girlfriend and Brendan always looks after me when I am sick but I just don't have the patience. Luckily he survived through sheer self preservation. 

- As much as I love Sunday afternoon naps I always feel groggy and even more tired afterwards. Note to self resist the urge to nap!

- Red wine is kind of delicious. I have never really drank it before but after receiving a few bottles of cab sav, I decided to give it a go and now I am really enjoying it. 

- That we need to learn to pay our bills on time we got two letters this week threatening to turn off our power and telephone lines. 

- That I can make a delicious smoothie...

- 1 & 1/2 cups of skim milk
- 2 tablespoons of peach yoghurt
-75g of mixed berries
- 1 banana 
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 8 ice cubes
This makes enough for two large smoothies and will keep your tummy full for ages.

-Long weekends are the bees knees. I know I dubbed this month "worktober" but so far its only been "relaxtober" I even treated myself to a pedicure today.

- Now just for a random fact that I read in Madison September 2010 - if you earn over $AU41,000 per year, you are in the richest 1% of the worlds population...Kind of puts things in perspective right?

- Oh and I got a fringe...

    That smoothie sounds amazing! I have to try it!!

    That random fact definitely puts things into perspective. I should probably stop complaining about my job so much :/

  3. I love your fringe! And the smoothie looks soo good. I need to make more of them this spring/summer.

    You know when I have Sunday afternoon naps, I feel the same. I always feel a little funny afterwards.

  5. if you ever figure out the nap:wake ratio please let me know. i love a good nap, but like you, wake up groggier than before. i'm pretty sure it's because i stay in bed too long.

    red wine is the bees knees! and so are peanut butter, banana, honey smoothies...mmmm...

  6. If you spill something on silk you can still spot clean it, just blast it with a hairdryer straight away so it doesn't watermark! Haha not exactly a life lesson but I learned that today :p

  7. I love your fringe. I have a serious weakness for red wine, I absolutely love it and it just tastes better the more you try :)

    I love that you didn't have the patience, sometimes I dont have it for thomas either - in fact he doesnt have it for me either so its all good lol.
