Wet weekend

On Saturday Brendan and I ventured to Sydney to go to the Doncaster races at Randwick.
It ended up being the wettest day Sydney has had in ten years.
Very inappropriate weather for going to the races, with 18,000 people trying to squish into the very limited covered areas.
Getting dressed for an hour and a half was completely washed away as we stood in the rain waiting for the taxi. We lost two umbrellas to the elements.
But we had a wonderful time, I even bet on the right horse to win the Doncaster.
This is the only photo I have from the day( and the lighting and quality is terrible), too busy trying to keep dry to take photos.

What did you do on the weekend?

  1. Oh my goodness, you look so cute! The rain sounds miserable, but I'm glad you had such a good time anyway. :)

  2. I'm glad all that rain did not affect your spirits that day. It's been raining a lot here too, I'm just glad that today turned out to be a really bright sunny day

  4. Love the dress on you! Even though your day could have been ruined by the day--it wasn't! I can see your bright smile all the way through this picture :)

  5. It was a wet weekend for us too. I do like what you are wearing. I'm wondering what do you wear to the races when it's cold. We are apparently watching them on Easter Monday in Bathurst. I know it's going to be cold so I have no idea what to wear for it?!
