letters

Working full time has meant that I don't have as much time to write letters any more. However it is still one of my favourite things to do when I have spare time. Especially as the weather starts to get colder and staying indoors is a much more appealing option. I made time today to start catching up on letters and its always such a nice feeling to know your sending something out that will hopefully brighten someone elses day.
Apart from that I have had a very quiet weekend. Tonight Brendan made a delicious French three course meal it was all kinds of amazing, his almond cake was heaven, I will have to share the receipe. Our neighbours came over with their gorgeous five month old son so I have my cuteness dose for the next little while. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, one more week and we get a long weekend, I cannot wait.

  1. I'm behind on my letters, too. I don't have many to write, but I'm definitely behind on the ones I do need to write! A few friends here and there in other places...

    Love almond cake!!

  6. Such beautiful pics :) Love seeing my twinkie's name on your list :) I too miss writing letters. Writing use to be my most favourite thing to do in this whole world. I hate that I have let the business of every day life and work get in the way of that. Thanks for reminding me that there's nothing better than an actual hand written letter!

  7. oh my, this is such a lovely post. I believe my heart gave a bit of a squeal at the sight of stationery. There are few things more wonderful than handwritten letters, I believe. It's just so special when someone takes the time to write you a letter by hand. Doesn't hurt to love all the cute, nice-smelling stationery too ;)
