Our tree

We have a tradition in our house that the tree goes up on the first of December. This year was especially important as it is most likely the last time it will happen with the three of us living together as Maddy is moving early next year. To me it really doesn't feel like Christmas, where did this year go? I am determined not to let next year slip away like this one did. Anyway now the tree is up and I have started buying presents I am slowly starting to get into the swing of things. Hopefully I realise its Christmas before it slips away on me too. Is your tree up yet?

  1. Very cute tree! No tree for us yet, everybody's too lazy it didn't even go up last year! I feel like this has been the fastest year yet for me.

  6. I love that tradition! I bought our tree a couple weeks ago at the thrift-store (yesssss!) so it's been up, but we don't have any ornaments yet! So we need to get some and then decorate it together. Your tree it totally adorable, by the way :)

  10. Nice tree :) I've always wanted an angel in the top of our tree, but we have a star instead. Maybe I should get an angel instead :).

My tree isn't up yet. In Sweden most people put them up on the 23rd. But I usually do it a bit earlier.

    Have a nice weekend! //Niina

  12. Putting up Christmas trees are so much better when you have people helping you and you have fun doing it. I'm always doing it by myself. :/ But hopefully next time I can have friends over to share the day with me. :)

Since in the Philippines, we don't celebrate Halloween nor Thanksgiving in Oct and Nov (it's more of US holidays yknow?), my parents start celebrating as early as September. But I decided to put my tree up as early at November because I knew I wouldn't have the time when Christmas got closer. :) I'm looking forward my Christmas tree blog post. :D

  13. It never feels like Christmas for me when I'm in Australia, but in two weeks I'll be headed home for a (hopefully) white christmas!

My family always put up a tree a few days before Christmas.

You know I just blogged about not feeling Christmas this year! Again I think great mind things alike. I did put my tree up earlier than the 1st of Dec too :)

  17. I'm the same as Gracie and you - I'm just not feeling Christmassy this year. I don't know what it is. My tree is up, I'm doing Christmas crafts, I'm buying gifts for people ... maybe it's the lack of super hot weather we normally get around this time of year?

Either way, your tree is adorable!!
