Once a year I head down the coast with a group of friends for our annual beach trip. We all use to live in Canberra but now half live in Melbourne so the trip has become even more important to all of us. This year we decided to meet half way between the two cities at Lake Tyers Beach near Lakes Entrance. It was a bit of a hike to get there, a four and a half hour drive after finishing work on Friday was not a lot of fun but so worth it. I am pretty sure this is the most beautiful beach I have been to and we also had weather to match. We also got to have fresh seafood which I love I could eat prawns and crab all day. It was probably the best way I can think of to spend the last weekend of summer. What did you get up to this weekend?

  1. The water looks amazing! I'm jealous that you had such beautiful weather for your beach getaway. Jason and mine was rained out last month.

I had my belated birthday picnic and lots of relaxing. x

  9. OMW - That looks lovely! In comparison to your weekend, my one was pretty tame - spent some girl time with my sis only.

Hope you had a lovely trip!

  10. What a lovely view! I've been dreaming about another little beach holiday... maybe next summer! It's so nice just to relax by the sea, especially when the weather is warm.

My weekend was spent feeling a bit yucky because of the hot weather, but we did manage a breakfast date and a little BBQ dinner at home, which was very nice :)

  12. This makes me miss the beach! Weather here has perked up a lot (although I guess we never REALLY had much of a winter) and this weather always puts me in the Spring Break/beachy mode! Loved the pictures.
