I have been absent from blogging the last week as life got a little crazy here, but crazy in a good way. We have had people staying with us for over a week, with one set of visitors leaving and another arriving. Two of those being my sister and my best friend, so I am definitely not complaining. We went on a country drive on Saturday, visiting two little towns just outside of Canberra, Bungendore and Braidwood (photos above). It was fun to do something different and get out of Canberra for the day. We finished the day with far too much wine and chinese food.

My bestie left yesterday afternoon and I went to bed at 8.30pm and woke up at 7am, I was utterly exhausted. The house is a bit of a mess and I have a laundry basket that scares me to look at so this week I am detoxing and cleaning up just in time to do it all again for easter!
I hope you had a lovely weekend.

  1. It is so brilliant having friends and family to stay, I love making special breakfasts and having them there, but I also love the wind down and having the house to ourselves again!

Gorgeous shots from your country drive, those bookshelves have me drooling.

  5. I love off the road little places like this that make up the backbone of a country. Old sweet shops are amazing places to find random unknown goodies too.

  6. Ooh that lolly shop looks so nice! I always want to buy everything in those places.

Country towns are so much fun to visit, even better when they have cute shops! I find they often have really good bakeries too :9

It's so lovely taking a break from the everyday and visiting the countryside even if just for the peace & quiet.

Hope all is going well with your revitalizing:)
